Compare the two cowhide layers
Full-grain cowhide: For projects seeking a natural grain surface. Agree the thickness, finish, hand feel and acceptable variation. Split cowhide: For work-glove projects specifying a split surface. Review softness, structure and suitability for the intended task. Private-label finish: Coordinate leather, stitching and branding colors, then approve pairing and packaging against the physical sample.
Leather Craft and In-House Brand Decoration
The leather-glove team uses cutting, sewing and stamping equipment to develop the cowhide finish for your brand.
Choose the Cowhide Layer
Full-grain and split cowhide are material options, not performance grades. Choose by use, hand feel, appearance and specification, then approve the exact leather and finish on a physical sample.
- Full-Grain Cowhide
For brands and industrial programs prioritizing a natural grain surface and defined leather hand feel, confirm the exact leather, color, surface, and approved sample; the term does not establish a protection level. - Split Cowhide
For work-glove programs specifying a split layer, confirm the split selection, surface feel, color, and required tests; do not infer performance from the material name alone.
Build the Cowhide Glove Size Specification
Fit affects comfort, grip and finger movement. Use S–XXL sizing or provide hand data and a reference sample for special sizes. Approve dimensions and fit before bulk production.
- Palm Circumference
Use an agreed measuring method and palm measurement for each size; check fit on the sample. - Finger Length
Specify finger proportions by size and check fingertip space, reach and movement. - Overall Length
Agree the measurement points and glove length, including the intended wrist or sleeve coverage. - Wrist Opening
Confirm entry, comfort and retention with the selected cuff or closure. - S–XXL Size Range
Approve the base size, grading, size labels and quantity for every size. - Special Size
Send measurements or a reference glove; pattern feasibility, cost, MOQ and timing need review.
Coordinate Leather and Brand Colors
Provide leather, stitch and logo color references and an overall scheme early. Approve the colors separately; material characteristics and branding methods can affect the finished appearance.
- Leather Base Color
For the main product color across a workwear or private-label range. Confirm availability and the acceptable sample because leather characteristics can influence the final appearance. - Stitch Color
For tonal construction or visible contrast details. Approve it beside the selected leather so the combination is judged as a finished product. - Logo Color
For printed, transferred, stamped, or embroidered brand artwork. Provide the artwork and color reference; achievable results depend on leather and logo process. - Overall Color Scheme
For multi-SKU programs coordinating glove, branding, labels, and packing. Confirm the complete scheme on a sample rather than approving each color in isolation.
Select a Logo Method for Cowhide
Choose branding by artwork detail, placement, leather surface, quantity, and expected use. GloveWise can review hot stamping or heat press, embroidery, screen printing, and heat transfer after receiving the logo file and target dimensions.
- Hot Stamping or Heat Press
For suitable leather or other compatible panels. Confirm surface response, tooling, depth and placement on the sample. - Embroidery
For compatible textile panels or labels. Check stitch density, backing, thickness, placement and comfort. - Screen Printing
For clear graphics on a compatible surface. Approve ink, colors, artwork size, placement and wear requirements. - Heat Transfer
For artwork that benefits from a transferred graphic process. Confirm file quality, color, transfer area, and material compatibility on the sample.
Plan Retail or Bulk Packaging
Choose packaging for the channel, labels, pair count, carton handling and destination. Once artwork and shipment requirements are confirmed, GloveWise can develop single-pair, carded, boxed, carton-labeled or gift-box formats.
- Single-Pair OPP Bag
For individual pair protection. Confirm dimensions, closure, label, required warnings and pack count. - Paper Card
For brand and product information. Agree dimensions, artwork, attachment, language, barcode and required market wording. - Hang Card
For retail display programs needing a hanging presentation. Confirm card structure, artwork, attachment method, barcode, and display requirement. - Multi-Pair Inner Box
For organized bulk handling. Confirm pairs per box, size mix, labels and master-carton arrangement. - Outer Carton Labeling
Confirm item code, size, quantity, shipping marks and carton identification. - Custom Gift Box
For premium retail, corporate, or presentation-focused private-label programs. Structure, material, artwork, insert, MOQ, cost, and transit protection require project review.

Control Natural Leather with an Approved Reference
Because natural leather can vary in grain and shade, approve a physical sample and written specification before production. GloveWise checks incoming leather, color, dimensions, cutting, stitching, branding position, fit, symmetry, pair matching, quantity, and packing through IQC, IPQC, and FQC.
