Navy winter gloves showing palms and cuffs on snow

Choose around the trail conditions

Active or mild-weather use: Prioritize finger movement, ventilation and contact with poles or camp equipment. Cool-weather use: Review lining, cuff overlap and fit with the intended layers; warmth is checked for the use conditions. Rain-focused use: Review the shell, membrane, seams and cuff together; a material name does not establish whole-glove waterproofing.

Leather and Textile Work for Outdoor Designs

Leather and fabric experience supports cutting, sewing and decoration for mixed-material hiking gloves.

Leather Reinforcement and Textile Panels

Leather reinforcement and textile panels can be cut and sewn within one project, with material joins developed as part of the glove design.

Embroidered Outdoor Branding

Embroidery can add a textured brand mark on compatible textile areas, with thread colors coordinated with the outdoor collection.

Factory video tours and production photos are available by arrangement to show the cutting, sewing and finishing environment alongside your glove’s development.

Build the Material System Around the Route

Review the project’s shell, palm, membrane and lining as one system. Confirm the selected combination, weight, colors, seams and performance on the complete glove.

  • Nylon Shell Direction
For a textile outer shell, confirm weave or knit, weight, color, and panel placement in the approved sample.
  • Leather Palm or Reinforcement Direction
For palm feel and contact-zone reinforcement, confirm leather type, thickness, coverage, seams, and care requirements.
  • Waterproof Membrane Direction
For wet-weather targets, confirm the full construction and test requirements; a membrane alone does not prove whole-glove waterproofness.
  • Thermal Lining Direction
For cooler weather, confirm lining type, weight, bulk, temperature target, and its effect on fit and dexterity.

Grade the Fit for Poles and Camp Tasks

Use an agreed measuring method and target-market size chart. Check pole grip, finger movement, wrist position and small-item handling on the graded sample.

  • Palm Circumference
Provide the agreed measurement method and target circumference for each size.
  • Finger Length
Check finger reach, coverage, and seam position across the intended size range.
  • Overall Length
Measure from agreed reference points and record the approved length for each size.
  • Wrist Opening
Confirm entry, closure, overlap, and comfort across sizes.
  • S–XXL Range
For standard adult retail and distribution programs, confirm the S–XXL size range and order ratio before production.
  • Special Sizes
Sizes outside the standard range may require new grading and sample approval and may affect MOQ and timing.

Map Pole, Rock, and Camp Contact Zones

Map palm and finger contact with trekking poles, rock, straps, cookware and small camp items. Use those points to set reinforcement, seams and sample checks for the route.

Match the Logo Method to the Glove Surface

Logo clarity depends on artwork, color count, placement, size, and glove surface. Provide vector artwork and dimensions so we can review the method before sampling.

  • Screen Printing
Clear graphics on compatible flat areas. Confirm ink colors, print area, and surface compatibility.
  • Heat Transfer
Detailed multicolor artwork on compatible panels. Confirm transfer size, edge, color, and panel heat compatibility.
  • Hot Press or Embossing
Subtle branding on suitable materials. Confirm depth, contrast, tooling, and material response.
  • Embroidery
Textile areas with sufficient structure. Confirm stitch detail, backing, thickness, and hand comfort.
  • Silicone Printing
Raised or tactile marks on compatible areas. Confirm artwork line width, height, color, and placement.
  • Sublimation
Printable synthetic panels and all-over artwork. Confirm printable material, artwork scale, color reference, and panel boundaries.

Approve the Sample With Trail Movements

Review the sample with trekking poles and typical camp items. Check palm bunching, finger bend, seam pressure, cuff interaction, small-item handling, Logo feel, and specified weather or touchscreen functions. Record the approved construction as the production reference.

Custom Hiking Gloves FAQ

Hiking gloves are selected around trail movement, pole grip and camp tasks. Waterproof gloves focus on a defined rain or splash exposure. A hiking project can include weather layers, but the complete construction and test must be agreed.
Full, half and partially open fingers can be reviewed for hiking gloves. Identify where direct fingertip contact is needed, then check grip, warmth, weather exposure and fit with the intended poles and camp items.
Use the planned trekking poles and typical straps, small controls or camp items. Check palm contact, finger reach, seams, cuff overlap and liner stability, plus any agreed weather or touchscreen requirement.
MOQ is usually 500 pairs, depending on materials, construction, sizes, branding and packing. Samples generally take 5–10 working days; bulk production usually takes 20–30 working days after written sample and specification approval and the required deposit. Testing, revisions, quantity and scheduling can change these ranges. Shipping time is separate.
