Gray glove with a red knuckle panel worn on a flexed hand

Match the glove to the hand movement

Repeated tool handling: Review pre-curved fingers, palm fit and seam placement for a comfortable gripping position. Concentrated palm wear: Place reinforcement at the palm, thumb base or other contact zones instead of adding bulk everywhere. Frequent fitting and removal: Compare wrist entry and retention with the actual task; approve the size range on samples.

Sewing and Decoration for Mechanic Gloves

Cutting, sewing and decoration support the small sewn components and brand finish of a mechanic glove.

Shaped Pieces, Consistent Assembly

Palm and finger components follow the same pattern from cutting through assembly, with stitch spacing and thread tension checked during production.

Silicone and Embroidered Logos

Silicone printing can add a raised mark on compatible areas; embroidery adds stitched texture. The finish is developed with the surrounding panel.

Color in the Sewing Details

Matching thread keeps seams understated; contrasting thread can highlight panel shapes and construction.

Define the Mechanic Task Before Construction

For the RFQ, describe tools and parts, contact surfaces, grip conditions, wear zones, task duration and hazards. These define the sample’s fit, structure and performance targets.

  • Tool and Part Profile
For repair and assembly programs handling tools, fasteners, and components, record shapes, edges, sizes, and required fingertip control before selecting construction.
  • Surface and Grip Conditions
For buyers working with dry, dusty, smooth, or changing contact surfaces, state the actual condition so grip features can be sampled; no grip result is assumed without project review.
  • Palm Wear Zones
For maintenance tasks with repeated contact at the palm, thumb base, or fingers, map the high-contact areas so reinforcement supports the task without unnecessary bulk.
  • Hazard and Performance Targets
For occupational buyers with defined abrasion, cut, puncture, impact, heat, or other risks, identify each hazard and required market standard separately; the final glove requires applicable project testing.

Size the Glove for Tool and Parts Control

Fit affects finger movement, grip control, comfort and user acceptance. Send a size chart, hand measurements or an approved reference sample to review dimensions and the S–XXL range before grading and sampling.

  • Palm Circumference
Use an agreed measuring method and palm measurement for each size; check fit on the sample.
  • Finger Length
Specify finger proportions by size and check fingertip space, reach and movement.
  • Overall Length
Buyers matching hand coverage and cuff position to the job. State the measurement point and target length for every relevant size.
  • Wrist Opening
Confirm entry, comfort and retention with the selected cuff or closure.
  • S–XXL and Special Sizes
Distributors serving a broad user population or uncommon hand dimensions. Standard S–XXL and special sizes are reviewed by project using measurements or a reference sample.

Select Structural Features for the Hand Movement

Specify reinforcement, finger shaping, grip print and wrist retention for the task’s movements and wear points. Check flexibility, placement and comfort on the sample.

  • Palm Reinforcement
Repeated tool contact or concentrated wear at defined palm zones. Specify the reinforcement area and required flexibility; final construction depends on the approved material setup.
  • Pre-Curved Fingers
Tasks involving repeated gripping and controlled tool movement. Confirm the hand posture and finger profile during sampling so shaping supports rather than restricts motion.
  • Anti-Slip Silicone Print
Projects needing a defined grip pattern at selected contact zones. Submit the location and pattern; suitability and performance depend on material, surface, and use conditions.
  • Wrist-Tightening Structure
Buyers needing a more secure wrist fit during frequent movement. Define the retention area and opening dimensions, then approve entry, hold, and comfort on the sample.

Choose Packaging for Sales and Delivery

Select packaging for the unit count, display, labels, carton plan and transport conditions before sample approval. Check branding, pack dimensions and shipment preparation together.

  • Single-Pair OPP Bag
Industrial supply and straightforward pair protection. Confirm bag size, closure, suffocation marking, label, and pairs per carton for the destination.
  • Paper Card
For brand and product information. Agree dimensions, artwork, attachment, language, barcode and required market wording.
  • Hanging Card
Retail programs displaying mechanic gloves on hooks. Confirm hole style, card dimensions, glove attachment, barcode, and display orientation.
  • Multi-Pair Inner Box
Distributor or workshop replenishment packs. Define pairs per box, size assortment, inner labels, and master-carton quantities.
  • Custom Gift Box
For gift presentation. Agree structure, material, artwork, inserts, protection, MOQ, cost and timing.

Approve Fit and Function Before Bulk Production

Approve measurements, finger movement, palm reinforcement, wrist entry and retention, branding and packaging on the physical sample. After written approval, GloveWise checks materials, construction, dimensions, appearance, pairing, quantity and packing through IQC, IPQC and FQC. Required project testing or third-party inspection is arranged separately.

Custom Mechanic Gloves FAQ

Mechanic glove projects focus on close fit, tool control and repeated parts handling. Construction projects may cover a wider mix of site tasks. Choose the palm, wrist and reinforcement from the actual work; neither name guarantees a protection rating.
GloveWise can review palm reinforcement, pre-curved fingers, silicone grip prints and wrist-tightening structures. Placement, material compatibility and performance are confirmed on the sample and through any agreed testing.
Send a reference glove or describe the tools, parts, grip conditions and recurring wear points. Add the quantity, size range and logo if available. The sample is then used to check finger movement, palm fit and wrist hold.
MOQ is usually 500 pairs, depending on materials, construction, sizes, branding and packing. Samples generally take 5–10 working days; bulk production usually takes 20–30 working days after written sample and specification approval and the required deposit. Testing, revisions, quantity and scheduling can change these ranges. Shipping time is separate.
