  • Outer Shell
    Choose the outer shell for wear, flex, appearance, and first exposure. Confirm the material direction against activity, moisture, hand task, color, care, and intended market.
  • Thermal Layer Thickness
    Set the thickness against activity, exposure time, finger movement, compression, fit allowance, and sample performance, balancing passive insulation with internal bulk.
  • Inner Surface
    For next-to-hand feel and liner comfort, confirm material, seam feel, movement, moisture expectations, stability, and care on the finished sample.
  • Fit and Air Space
    Balance heat retention and dexterity by checking that layers are not overly compressed and that the palm, fingers, grip, circulation, and liner position remain comfortable.
  • Wrist and Cuff Interface
    For sleeves or outerwear, confirm wrist opening, elastic or hook-and-loop closure, coverage, entry, removal, and cold-air exposure.

Select Shell and Lining Materials

Select materials for appearance, hand feel, structure, care, cost and warmth. Verify the combination in the complete glove against the product brief.

  • Polyester
    For fabric-led winter shells or components, confirm polyester weight, texture, flexibility, color, care, wear zones, and lining compatibility.
  • Fleece
    For a soft shell or warm inner layer, confirm whether fleece is used as the shell or lining, plus thickness, pilling expectations, fit, and weather limits.
  • Leather
    For shells, palms, or reinforcement areas, confirm leather type, placement, color variation, care, flex, grip, and combination with the thermal layers.
  • Cotton
    For selected fabric components and comfort-led constructions, confirm cotton weight, structure, moisture expectations, shrinkage or care needs, color, and role in the finished glove.
  • Thermal Lining
    For an internal passive-insulation layer, confirm the thermal lining specification, thickness, hand feel, stability, size allowance, and cold-use sample checks.

Set the Fit Across Insulation

Lining can reduce finger space, compress insulation, shift at the fingertips and change wrist entry. Approve measurements and fit with the actual layers.

  • Palm Circumference
    Use an agreed measuring method and palm measurement for each size; check fit on the sample.
  • Finger Length
    To preserve fingertip reach, grip, and flex, check liner movement, seam position, compression, hand task, and the intended size grading.
  • Overall Length
    Confirm overall length with the thermal layers, sleeve overlap, cuff construction, entry, removal, and intended exposure.
  • Wrist Opening
    Set the wrist opening around layer bulk, closure route, jacket interface, movement, and size grading, balancing easy entry with cold-weather coverage.
  • S–XXL Size Range
    For standard adult private-label programs, approve measurements, grading, fit samples, size ratio, labels, and tolerances before bulk production.
  • Special Sizes
    For users outside the standard range, provide target measurements and quantities early; pattern work, sampling, MOQ, price, and timing may change.

    For detailed or multicolor artwork on compatible surfaces, confirm transfer material, temperature suitability, edge quality, placement, flex, and sample appearance.
  • Hot Press or Embossing
    For a compatible panel or surface. Approve tooling, pressure or heat response, placement and finish.
  • Silicone Printing
    For raised branding or selected graphics, confirm compound, height, coverage, placement, hand feel, flex, and approved adhesion.
  • Sublimation
    For broad graphics on printable fabric panels, confirm compatibility, panel artwork, color reference, seam alignment, and the approved print sample.

Approve the Sample in a Defined Cold-Use Window

Evaluate the finished glove against the intended temperature, exposure time, activity, moisture, hand task, and sleeve interface. Record fit, finger flex, grip, liner movement, cuff coverage, comfort, and relevant sizes. Material or multilayer thermal-resistance data may support selection but does not replace finished-glove approval.

Custom Thermal Winter Gloves FAQ

Thermal gloves use passive insulation; heated gloves add a powered system, battery, controls and separate testing and transport requirements. Choose by cold exposure and activity. This thermal-glove range excludes medical warming and universal extreme-cold claims.
Thickness alone does not determine thermal-glove warmth. Fit, shell, insulation, lining and cuff work together; crowding the hand or compressing layers can affect comfort and movement. Evaluate the finished sample for the defined use.
A thermal glove’s temperature or cold-performance claim needs agreed use conditions and supporting finished-glove validation. Provide temperature, exposure time, activity and moisture conditions before sampling.
MOQ is usually 500 pairs, depending on materials, construction, sizes, branding and packing. Samples generally take 5–10 working days; bulk production usually takes 20–30 working days after written sample and specification approval and the required deposit. Testing, revisions, quantity and scheduling can change these ranges. Shipping time is separate.
